Abstract
This Standard is applicable to portable direct-reading insulation resistance testers of pointer type and digital type with a rated measuring voltage not exceeding 1 000 V incorporating batteries therein to be used for a) and b) given below. a) Low voltage distribution line Insulation measurement of lines and equipment in a distribution system not exceeding a.c. 1 000 V and d.c. 1 500 V where the power supply is interrupted. b) Insulation measurement of equipment, appliance, components, etc.
