High and low temperature testing methods for parts of railway signaling

Abstract

This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the temperature testing methods by which the apparatus and parts to be attached on the signal of railway signaling, on the room for apparatus, on the box for tools, on the electric point machine, and on the rails are investigated to know their aptitude under the temperature for service. However, the following test methods should be eliminated. (1) The test whose target is temperature cycle test. (2) The test whose target is durability, weathering resistance, and corrosion resistance. (3) The test whose target is the temperature at which transportation and storing are carried out. (4) The apparatus and parts to be attached on railway vehicles.
