Abstract

This Standard specifies guidelines on management by policy as a supporting technique for an organization to effectively and efficiently improve performance of its management system, and provides guidance to facilitate spiral-up of the management system.This Standard is intended to be used by an organization that needs to Develop policy based on its middle and/or long-term business plan and implement it throughout the organization in order to achieve its mission, principles and vision, Ensure to monitor progress of its policy implementation and take appropriate actions, Identify positive and negative outcomes of its operational processes and Ensure to reflect the learning in a subsequent policy.This Standard is intended to be applicable to all organizations, regardless of type, size and product provided.
