Methods of ultrasonic examination for carbon and low alloy steel forgings

Abstract

This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the methods of ultrasonic examination for carbon and low alloy steel forgings (hereafter referred to as "steel forging") not less than 20 mm in thickness and 50 mm or more in radius of outside curvature according to pulse echo technique with an ultrasonic flaw detector of a-scope pressntation. Further, methods for classification of straight beam examination results are given in annex 1.
