Catheters and tubes designed for the biliary tract

Abstract

This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies tubes and catheters designed for the biliary tract and their components, which are inserted through duodenal papilla, skin (percutaneously) or hepatic duct into the biliary tract (cholecyst, cystic duct, biliary duct system), for the purpose of pus discharge, drainage, perfusion, expansion of stricture parts and duodenal papilla, prevention of stricture, and treatments such as fragmentation, grasp and recovery, extraction and removal of calculus.
